“To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides.”
Adam and Lyndsey are the type of couple that you just want to be around all of the time and their wedding day was nothing short of perfection. Vestavia United Methodist fit their intimate ceremony beautifully. Our favorite part of their story is how Adam asked Lyndsey to be his wife. They both joined in on a family vacation with Lyndsey’s family in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Lyndsey really loves her family, so Adam thought this trip would be the perfect time and place to pop the question. At dinner the second night they were there, Adam had a waitress put the ring in a champagne flute. The whole table was then served champagne and Lyndsey’s mom said it was to celebrate Lyndsey’s birthday (which was the following week). Lyndsey went along with the story. Right before she was about to take a sip, her sister subtly commented on the bubble in the flute. Lyndsey saw a RING! When she looked over at Adam, he was already down on one knee. In Lyndsey’s words, “It was the best day, ever!”.
Their wedding day, in our opinion, was the best day ever. Adam and Lyndsey’s soft color palette complimented the beautiful greens of the emerging summer. Cool breezes filled the day ever so romantically. Since their wedding ceremony was to going to be at Lyndsey’s home church, they chose to have majority of their photos surrounded by the scenery in Vestavia Hills, AL. Adam and Lyndsey shared an emotional first moment together before the ceremony at Sybil Temple.
Their wedding party shortly joined in to celebrate. The ceremony was very intimate. Adam and Lyndsey had invited mostly their closest friends and family. As they vowed their love for one another, they both could not stop smiling. Guests cheered during their “first kiss” and continued to share their joy during the recessional. Adam and Lyndsey’s reception was a huge party! They even had fireworks to celebrate their new journey together!
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Haas!!
