“I belong with you, you belong with me, you’re my sweetheart
I belong with you, you belong with me, you’re my sweet.” – The Lumineers
We met Kristin and Tyler for coffee one afternoon and knew quickly that they had something special. They are both so easy-going and we could tell that they complimented each others personality.
Kristin and Tyler met through work, as her dad was his boss, so he would not ask me out as long as we worked together. A few months after he took a job somewhere else, Kristin says, “One of us text the other… it’s still an argument over who text who first!”
Tyler proposed on the way back from a New Years trip with his family in Gatlinburg. They stopped at Cloudland Canyon in GA. Cloudland is one of the first adventures they had together. Kristin described how it had been a long day and she was not ready for a hike, especially climbing 600 stairs down and back up, but he insisted. She also added he had been acting weird all day and never in her wildest dreams thought he would propose after dating for a little over a year, even less that he had been planning it for months. Kristin was the nervous the whole way down to the waterfall but says she knew it was coming. Once they got to the waterfall he asked somebody to take their picture. While he helped her up on a rock, she turned back around to see him down on one knee.
Kristin and Tyler wanted to go somewhere unique and sentimental to them, so we went to Tyler’s aunt’s house in Eastaboga, AL where they had tons of gorgeous property, and a cute little tree swing. And even though we were a little scared the rain might cut the session short, we raced to one of Kristin’s relative’s house where we made some horse friends and wrapped up the session just 20 short minutes before the bottom fell out!!
We cannot wait to have them in front of our cameras again for their August wedding!
