“Let ‘em say we’re crazy, I don’t care about that
Put you hand in my hand baby.
Don’t ever look back,
Let the world around us just fall apart.
Baby, we can make it if we’re heart to heart.”
-Starship (Robby & Caitlin’s first dance)
Have you ever met one of those couples that are 100% genuine with one another? The kind of couple that embraces (and celebrates) each other’s quirks wholeheartedly and simply loves each other unequivocally. That couple is Robby & Caitlin. We have never met another couple more perfect for one another! Not to mention, they are incredibly fun to be around. Their quick wit had us rolling in laughter when we met them and even more on their wedding day. Cahaba Brewing Company was the perfect location for their eccentric style!
The couple & how they met: (www.tworedheadswed.com)
“Robby was wearing a camel-haired blazer. Caitlin wasn’t wearing any make up. They met at a dive bar on “Country Karaoke” night and sang a song, “Just Another Day” by Jon Secada, on that first meeting. It was so distressing to the audience, they cleared the whole place out. By the end of the song, they both knew there was a connection. Their first date was the following week. Robby brought Caitlin a plant, instead of flowers, which she loved. Through ups and downs, they have always been able to be themselves around the other.”
And friends, this is why we LOVED their wedding. The day was filled with little details of Robby & Caitlin’s personalities. When we asked Caitlin to describe the wedding day, she explained that they wanted an awesome, relaxed wedding day…and to party all night! And that’s exactly what it was!
Caitlin and her bridesmaids got ready at the Westin downtown. When we walked in the door of her hotel room, the girls had music blaring and they were singing along to ever word. Caitlin of course looked gorgeous and had the BIGGEST smile on her face! Caitlin gathered a few gifts she had given for us to photograph that truly added a personal touch. She had necklaces made for her bridesmaids that were darling. She also had a huge surprise gift for Robby! (we will mention that in a second). She also bought him an instruction guide on how to throw a pie-eating contest…we thought it was hilarious.
Caitlin and her mother designed her wedding invites! They’re incredible! They hand-drew the illustrations! AH!
Caitlin looked impeccable in her lace & tulle gown. Like bombshell. She also had a unique twist by including a vintage veil to compliment her aesthetic. Her family and Bridesmaid’s reaction when she got dressed was the BEST. We knew Robby was going to flip when he saw her.
Robby and his closest friends got ready at Cahaba Brewing Company where their wedding took place. Let’s make one thing clear. Robby loves three things the very most: Caitlin, their dog Sheila, and the color orange. And all of his “loves” were present on his wedding day! He gifted his groomsmen/women nice orange ties and fun, orange socks (there is still debate that they were “coral”).
The BIG SURPRISE! Caitlin had a sign made for Robby to hang their home together that featured their beloved dog, Sheila! Ya’ll. Robby lost it. He LOVED/loves that gift!
Robby and Caitlin’s wedding ceremony was filled with pure admiration of these two wonderful people. Their guests traveled from all over the U.S. just to see them tie the knot. It was definitely a celebration for sure! A unique twist during their ceremony was their first communion. The officiant had two bottles of wine (a red & a white) to represent the Bride & Groom. He then mixed the two wines together to symbolize their unity together. Robby and Caitlin then took communion in an intimate ceremony while Caitlin’s siblings sang a song over them.
The reception was a PARTY for sure! Their guests danced, laughed, and hugged the happy couple all throughout the night! Robby and Caitlin also a little surprise made for their guests… etched pint glasses with their happy faces on them! On that note, here’s a toast to the happy couple! May you always find joy in one another and love each other dearly! Congratulations Robby and Caitlin!!
